Q. You & your spouse’s names, and when did you get married?
A. Rachel and Jay Brazer, and we got married on April 23rd, 2022.
Q. How did you meet?
A. We met online through Bumble- Jay had been living in Chicago for about a year and a half at that point.
Q. What was your proposal like?
A. I came home one evening after work and Jay got on one knee in our kitchen- he had tacos and champagne to celebrate!
Q. How did you hear about the Red Lion Inn?
A. We heard about the Red Lion Inn online, and Jay’s cousin who had also been married there. We heard nothing but great things, so we contacted the venue and got in touch with Soli who was amazing during the entire process.
Q. What made you choose the Red Lion Inn?
A. The Barn venue was so open and appealing to the eye- just what we wanted!
"The entire day was smooth from start to finish! From the look and feel of the venue, to the food, to the after party in The Cave, and hearing how well our guests were treated by the staff at The Red Lion Inn." - Rachel
Q. What was your favorite part of the planning process?
A. Everything turned into a celebration! The planning process was seamless as Soli and the rest of the team had ensured. All of our concerns were addressed, and needs were met.
Q. What was the most memorable part of the day?
A. How happy we were to begin our marriage and being able to celebrate with those we love most around us. The entire day was smooth from start to finish! From the look and feel of the venue, to the food, to the after party in The Cave, and hearing how well our guests were treated by the staff at The Red Lion Inn.
Q. Apart from the Barn, what is your favorite space at the Red Lion Inn property, and why?
A. The Cave- we hung out and had lunch there before our ceremony and between pictures with our bridesmaids and family. We also had the after party there- it was so nice for anyone who wanted to keep the party going that it was right on site. We loved how unique it was, too!
Q. What was your favorite menu item served at your wedding?
A. The beef short rib and every appetizer was incredible. The veggie lasagna was another entrée that guests were raving about.
Q. What is one piece of advice that you would like to give future RLI couples?
A. One thing you won’t have to worry about is the staff- they have everything organized for you and are one step ahead of you so the day runs smoothly. (Shout out to Soli and Taoufik- we still talk about how awesome and helpful they were).
Q. Any feedback that you have for our events team:
A. Keep up the good work, everyone was so helpful and welcoming to us and our guests. I wouldn’t change a thing! Soli and the rest of the team were all rockstars, anything we needed we got, any questions we had they answered.
