Red Lion Weddings: Spotlight on M + B

Red Lion Weddings: Spotlight on M + B

By Sarah Adamski

Happy March, friends! The month of March welcomes the Spring season, a beautiful time for new beginnings. For this month’s Red Lion Weddings blog spotlight, we are highlighting M + B who started their new beginning with us at the Red Lion Inn several few months ago! 💗

Q. You & your spouse’s names, and when did you get married?

A. Molly and Ben Roache, and we got married on October 15th, 2022.

Q. How did you meet?

A. We met in college through mutual friends. We both went to Framingham State where we played sports and had several friends that intertwined – we were friends for a few months prior to us starting to date our sophomore year.

Q. What was your proposal like?

A. Molly had no idea Ben was going to propose. It was a rainy Saturday in the fall of 2021. Ben asked Molly several weeks earlier if she wanted to get brunch at one of her favorite restaurants in the Seaport for brunch. Prior to brunch, Ben had asked Molly to go on a walk down by the water, and Molly whined the whole time because it was raining. Ben asked Molly to hold the umbrella to which Molly replied no! A few minutes later, however, Ben asked Molly to hold the umbrella so he could tie his shoe. At that moment Molly knew to take the umbrella and he popped the question. Following the proposal they got brunch and headed back to their apartment where family and friends visited all night long to celebrate!

Q. How did you hear about the Red Lion Inn?

A. A family friend told us about the Red Lion Inn at our engagement party.

"Our favorite part of the day at the Red Lion Inn was dancing the night away with all of the people that we love. " - Molly

Q. What was your favorite part of the planning process?

A. We loved working with our wedding coordinator Jennifer Crook! She made the whole process smooth and less stressful.

Q. What was the most memorable part of the day?

A. Our ceremony was off property so our favorite part of the day at the Red Lion Inn was dancing the night away with all of the people that we love.

Q. What was your favorite menu item served at your wedding?

A. So hard to choose! Molly: The salad with goat cheese croquettes. Ben: the statler chicken.

Q. What is one piece of advice that you would like to give future RLI couples?

A. Ask lots of questions, enjoy the process and it will all work out!

Q. Any feedback that you have for our events team:

A. No you guys were great! We don’t have one bad thing to say.
