The holidays are in full swing at the Red Lion Inn and Olde Salt House, and what better place to celebrate the holiday season than in the charming seaside town of Cohasset!
From the annual Lobster Trap Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Cohasset Harbor to a festive Christmas Eve Brunch at the Tavern to a merry holiday stroll in Cohasset Village, there are so many ways to get in the spirit this year…
Lobster Trap Christmas Tree Lighting
The 10th annual Lobster Trap Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, December 10th at 6:30pm! Olde Salt House will provide refreshments, including hot chocolate, cider and mulled wine, free of charge. Additionally, there will be a buoy decorating contest through the Legion. Tickets are $20, and all proceeds will go to the Veterans Food Pantry.

Cohasset Village Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting
Tis the season to be merry and bright! The annual Cohasset Village Holiday Stroll will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 5:00-8:00pm. The Red Lion Inn will provide refreshments, including hot chocolate and apple cider, free of charge located outside the inn.
Wine Pairing Dinner at the Red Lion Tavern
Please join us at the Red Lion Tavern on December 18th for a five-course dinner, featuring signature New England cuisine prepared by Chef Richmond Edes, carefully paired with wines from various regions in France. Cocktail “hour” will begin at 5:30pm, followed by a family-style seated dinner from 6:15-8:30pm. This is a reservation only event, tickets are $120 per guest (tax and gratuity not included) and can be purchased HERE.

Christmas Eve Brunch
Enjoy a delicious Christmas Eve Brunch at the Tavern! Dine on festive dishes and sip on our signature poinsettia cocktails, while cozying up by the fire. Brunch will be served 11:30am-2:30pm. We are accepting reservations here, or call (781) 383-1704 to book!
New Year’s Day Brunch
Ring in the new year with a decadent New Year’s Day Brunch at the Tavern! We will have all of the classic brunch favorites, along with endless bubbles and bottomless drinks. Brunch will be served 11:30am-2:30pm. Cheers!

The Most Wonderfund Time of the Year
We’ve partnered with the Wonderfund to help make this holiday season merry and bright for children that are engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. More than 50,000 children throughout the state have an open case with DCF, and come from situations where they have been impacted by trauma, abuse and neglect. With your support, we can help ensure that every child in Massachusetts involved with the DCF experiences the magic of the holiday season.
We will be collecting toys at The Red Lion Inn beginning November 28th through December 20th. There will be a designated area in the lobby to donate unopened presents.

December Line-Up in the Cave
To welcome the holiday season, we’re bringing new acts to the Cave! Along with live music, we’re hosting a comedy show on December 1st to kick off the month of December. Join us on Thursday nights in the cave from 8pm-11pm, tickets can be purchased here. We’ll see you there!
Additionally, the Tavern will be closed on Christmas Day and NYE, and Olde Salt house will be closed on Christmas Eve and Day, and NYE and NYD.
