Our new tea service for private events replicates the famous Afternoon Tea offered at Boston Public Library’s Courtyard Tea Room. This elegant experience will be available inside The Hillside House at The Red Lion Inn starting spring of 2021!
Centrally located in the heart of Cohasset Village, The Hillside House at the Red Lion Inn is a beautiful destination for private events on the South Shore. This newly renovated event space combines New England cottage charm with timeless elegance and creates a wonderful setting for wedding showers, baby showers, birthdays, and other celebrations with up to 120 guests. The Hillside House features a working fireplace, a large stone wall, a full bar, and hardwood floors.
Our specialty tea menu includes a selection of seasonal teas, finely crafted tea sandwiches, sweets, scones, and an optional soup or salad starter course. Teas may be poured tableside or at a self-service buffet. If you’re looking to upgrade the experience, our cocktail menu offers unique drinks inspired by historic local surroundings. Upon entering the main lobby, your guests will travel over the covered bridge into The Hillside House where they’ll be greeted with champagne or a signature cocktail as they are welcomed into the space for an unforgettable gathering.

To reserve the room privately, there is a venue fee. 25 guest minimum.
